Welcome!
Welcome! The Utah Folk Orchestra is a growing community of musicians who come together to play gorgeous folk music from Celtic, Old Time, Scandinavian, French Canadian, and Bluegrass traditions. We're open to all instruments and all skill levels — readers and ear players alike. In our large ensemble, everyone blends together into something that sounds genuinely beautiful. Use this site to find your sheet music, check our schedule, and get involved.

November 15, 2026
Join us for a special evening of instrument sectionals on Sunday, November 15, from 5–8 PM at Sugar Space Arts Warehouse.
🎻 Violin/Fiddle with Amanda Grapes
We'll focus on fiddle technique, musicality, and ways to make tricky passages easier to play.
🎸 Guitar with Andrew Nelson
Andrew will focus on strumming patterns, rhythm, and accompaniment to help you become a stronger rhythm player.
Both instructors are former members of Pixie and the Partygrass Boys!
All instruments and skill levels are welcome! While violin and guitar are our specialties, many of these skills apply to other instruments, too. Simply join whichever group interests you most.
💚 Suggested donation: $25 per person
Your donations help us pay our instructors and offer more opportunities like this. As always, everyone is welcome, regardless of ability to contribute.
